I don't work for work for the company that makes Soriatane (Stiefel) but I am a pharmacist so here is my impression: 1. One of the major side effects of this family of drugs is a severe drying of the skin. This effect varies a little from person to person but it is not unusual for people's skin to get so dry that it can start to crack and bleed. If you don't have a problem with the dry skin side effects, good for you. Just be happy you don't and throw the cream away. 2. The cost: Soriatane itself is VERY expensive, the cream is very cheap. I doubt that adding the cream adds even 1% to the cost. Yet the cream allows a lot of people to be able to tolerate the side effects of taking soriatane. 3. The cost of polling millions of potential customers to see if they need the cream or not probably far outweighs the cost of simply putting in a little tube of cream in each kit. Hope that helped.
