I'm not a medical professional, but I had a miscarriage where my child stopped growing, and the amniotic sac still kept expanding. I would probably start researching "blighted ovum" to start. Pregnancy tests pick up the amount of human growth hormone, so if the baby stops growing that level drops rapidly and you could get a negative test because your body is no longer pregnant. I'm not sure if there would be other conditions that would mimic pregnancy on ultrasound, like a fluid-filled cyst or something, but I would say you should consult with your doctor again if possible and let him/her know you have questions.
Myelocytes are immature white blood cells that are normally not found in the bloodstream. Finding myelocytes in a blood scan may indicate a disturbance in bone marrow function, such as a response to infection, inflammation, or certain types of leukemia. Further investigation and evaluation by a healthcare provider are needed to determine the underlying cause.
Black spots on a bone scan may indicate areas of increased bone activity or hot spots, which can be caused by conditions such as fractures, infection, inflammation, or bone tumors. These areas typically show up as dark areas on the scan due to higher uptake of the radioactive tracer used in the scan.
A cardiac blood pool scan usually takes around 30 minutes to an hour to complete. This imaging test allows doctors to evaluate the function and efficiency of the heart's chambers and valves by tracking the movement of a radioactive substance through the blood.
YES. You want to make sure you have had your doctors fully check the heart for any defects as 95% of those with situs inversus with levocardia have congenital heart defects. My wife had a CT scan and everything showed in proper order. We have had two beautiful children.
The tests used to diagnose kidney ailments typically include blood tests to check kidney function (e.g. creatinine, blood urea nitrogen) and urine tests to check for protein, blood, or other abnormalities. Imaging studies such as ultrasound or CT scans may also be used to visualize the kidneys and urinary tract. Sometimes a kidney biopsy may be needed for a more definitive diagnosis.
Pregnant women are the only patients who should not participate in a cardiac blood pool scan.
The information after the word "Findings" would mean the Radiologist's interpretation of the CT scan.
Not sure what you mean here. It's always safe to be around pregnant women. If they, or you, have had a scan, it does not leave anything that you can catch or is contagious.
I have tested positive with blood that am pregnant but scan says there no pregnancy. i don't know whether it is some kind of sickness.
could it be ectopic, though the scan should have picked up abnormalities. See your doctor.
blood clot
Yes very good chance if it wasnt proven on scan or blood tests. if you just had a lot of blood, and thought you lost hte baby then theres a good chance that you were wrong. I have had many pregnancies where Ive bled a lot. and often thought I had lost it, but I let my midwife know, and she organised a scan which showed a healthy baby with a heartbeat. you need to talk to your maternity carer and have an ultrasound. goodluck!
It is an ultrasound scan.
yes, apart from blood test or scan there is no way to be 100% sure
Hi Don't know if this will help, I had a +ve test at 4weeks 2 days but negative at hospital and nothing showed up on scan, +ve hospital test 2 days later and now 20 weeks pregnant. I was told that under 5 weeks it is very hard to see a definite pregnancy especially if they don't use a vaginal scan
Hypodensity indicates a decrease in density. Hypodensity on a CT scan can indicate damaged tissue, from trauma, illness, or birth defect.
I just had an MRI done and one of the comments was that an area of the scan showed a low signal intensity...as in, something is wrong with the tissue.
