genetic diseases are passed through by generaions because the parents of a child may have x or Y(lets juse say Y is a genetic deisease) in their genes. Y would be the dominant trait so it would make the child have that disease. Sometimes the parents don't have the disease but they can still pass it to their children if they have the genes for it. So really it's because of how our ressesive and dominant traits work.

It is said to be communicable or contagious.
Characteristic that is passed onto offspring's from parents is known as hereditary trait. There are some diseases that are hereditary, certain types of cancer for example. Several techniques have been developed to screen for different genetic disease.
The difference between hereditary and genetic is that hereditary is inherited. Genetic is dealing with cells and genes. hereditary means its coming from the previous generation example grand ma . mom father ,and has to do with health, genetic means its in the genes example as result of back round ancestry makes up your looks hair ,eye color , could be from mixture af all genes of different people grandfathered from way back in the past.
DNA is your genetic material.
No it is not. cord blood is blood that remains in the placenta and in the attached umbilical cord after childbirth. Cord blood is collected because it contains stem cells which can be used to treat hematopoietic and genetic disorders.
Hereditary diseases are passed from one generation to another through genetic mutations carried in the DNA of the parent that are passed on to their offspring. These mutations can affect the functioning of specific genes, leading to the development of a hereditary disease in the offspring. This process occurs during fertilization when genetic material is combined from both parents.
Genes or traits
It is said to be communicable or contagious.
They are caused by abnormal genes and so are passed from one generation to the other on the DNA.
Heart disease is a non communicable disease and cannot be passed on from one person to another by physical contact or other things.
A hereditary disease is a disease that is passed from one generation to the next through DNA (genes). It may also be called a genetic disease.A few examples:* Huntington's disease * sickle cell anemia * Tay-Sachs disease * Duchenne muscular dystrophy * color blindness
A disease or condition can be hereditary or genetic, passed from mom or dad to child. An illness can be contagious or communicable, passed from one person to another but not necessarily your family. If the person already had the illness and are immune, they won't catch the illness from you.

Yes, it is not contagious (can't be passed from one person to another).

A hereditary disease is carried because one of the parents has broken DNA (meaning, the DNA is not normal and the loss of one part of the DNA caused the hereditary disease), and that broken DNA is copied to every cell in the body, and when the two sex cells join together, there is broken DNA in one of the sex cells, thereby officially passing the hereditary disease to the next child.
