In a bacteria organism, cells divide differently from a eukaryotic mitosis division, as they multiple into many more pieces. In mitosis, a cell only divides in half, while in a bacteria organism it divides up to 10 seperate pieces.

The organelles are not the same the bacteria cells isn't as advanced as the eukaryotes with are in your body and bacteria are more simple when it comes to life. The eukaryotes are said to have come from bacteria cell during the development of advancement of life here on Earth!

1) they have smaller ribosomes 2) they don't have nucleus, only so called "prokaryotic nucleus" - nucleoid - their DNA is just floating in their cytoplasm, 3) they have cell wall (many eukaryotes don't) and its structure is different from eukaryotic cell wall 4) they don't have cytoskeleton, 5) DNA is circular and it is usually just one "chromosome". The genome is significantly smaller than the one of eukaryotes. Also, DNA is organised by histon-like proteins, not by histons like in eukaryotes. 6) first aminoacid in proteins is not methionine but formyl-methionine.
A bacterial cell is prokaryotic, which means that it does not have a membrane bounded nucleus. The nuclear material, the chromosomes and nuclear cytoplasm, float freely throught the cell. A eukaryotic cell has a membrane bounded nucleus and the chromosomes and nuclear cytoplasm is protected because of the nuclear envolope and the nuclear membrane.

A bacterial cell does not have organelles like the nucleus, mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, and others while a eukaryotic cell does.

Also, a bacterial cell has plasmids, flagellums, and capsules.

Here are some additional answers

  1. The ribosomes of eukaryotic cells are larger and more complex than those of bacteria.
  2. In Eukaryotes, transcription and translation are distinct processes, whereas in bacteria, the two occur simultaneously.
  3. Eukaryotes contain membrane-bound organelles; bacteria do not.
  4. Eukaryotic DNA is circular; bacterial DNA is linear (line shaped)
  5. Eukaryotes contain a nucleus; the DNA in bacteria is concentrated in a nucleoid region with no membrane.
  6. Eukaryotic cells comprise multicellular organisms (usually), whereas bacteria are usually single-celled organisms
  7. A bacteria is prokaryotic, a eukaryotic is eukaryotic :D
  8. Bacteria usually have a flagellum, eukaryotic cells do not.
  9. The ribosome sizes are differnet; prokaryotic ribosomes are smaller.
  10. Prokaryotes have a larger surface to volume ration giving them a higher metabolic rate, a higher growth rate, and, as a consequence, a shorter generation time compared to Eukaryotes

Bacterial cells are prokaryotes, meaning they lack a nucleus. Because of this, their DNA is diffused throughout the entire cell instead of being contained within a nuclear envelope.

Bacteria are prokaryotes.

How does bacteria differ from eukaryotes?

Bacterial cells have a simpler structure. They do not have a separate nucleus or organelles like mitochondria or chloroplasts.

What are the cells called that have a nucleus and organelles?

There are two basic types of cells, prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Eukaryotes differ from prokaryotes in a few ways, but the biggest difference is that eukaryotes have a nucleus and prokaryotes don't.

Why are eukaryote and prokaryote cells differ?

Eukaryotes have a nucleus. Prokaryotes do not have a nucleus.

Bacteria are simple prokaryote cells. Other cells are eukaryotes. For more information on eukaryotes and prokaryotes, please see the related links below.

What type of cell is not found in an animal?

Prokaryotic cells (bacteria) are not technically not part of animals, but they are found on and in animals.Animals are Eukaryotes. Meaning that they have cells with a nucleus (unlike bacteria which do not have a nucleus to hold in its DNA); and these cells do not have 'walls' like plants or fungi.Cells in animals differ on what their function is, shape always follows function.
