i know a ton about this, learned it last year!

Endocytosis is when a cell absorbs a protien by engulfing it.

Exocytosis is the oppisite of endocytosis. This is how waste is produced (cell waste).

It is the release of cell surface's substances through vesicles.

TO remeber which is which just think of exocytosis as the waste is EXITING the cell and endocytosis is protiens ENtering the cell

Endocytosis and Exocytosis are facilitated diffusion. This means that the cell has to do something for diffusion to occur. Like form a pouch. Diffusion is simply the movement of a substance across a membrane, done only by concentrations across a gradient.

Endocytosis occurs when a cell surrounds a large particle and encloses it in a vesicle; exocytosis occurs when the cell uses a versicle to move a particle from within the cell to the outside of the cell.

Endocytosis takes material into the cell by infolding of the cell membrane. Exocytosis releases large amounts of material.

What bulk transport moves material out of the cell?

passive transport- diffusion, osmosis bulk/ active transport: requires energy ------------------------------------------- A+ -- exocytosis

What is a type of active transport?

There are three types of active transport. They are endocytosis, exocytosis, and sodium potassium pump. Endocytosis is when the cells ingest substances. Exocytosis is the process of releasing contents of the cell to the external environment.

what uses vesicles to move substances out of a cell?

It is called exocytosis, which is defined as "a process by which the contents of a cell vacuole are released to the exterior through fusion of the vacuole membrane with the cell membrane." The opposite of exocytosis is endocytosis.
