Osgood-Schlatter disease is originated from growing. It is sometimes called a growing pain. You can get it from just growing, but most people get it from tight muscles because the bone grows faster than the muscle so the the bone it longer, but the muscle stays the same. This often causes great pain.

The treatment is conservative with RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation), and if required NSAIDs.

(Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs). Bracing or an orthopedic cast to enforce joint immobilization may give comfort and help reduce pain as it reduces strain.

After symptoms have resolved, a gradual progression to the desired activity level may begin with stretching exercises.

Completion of bone growth (with age) will help resolve this disease.

Unfortunately, there is no cure, there is only different treatment options. Some of them include physiotherapy, particular knee braces, etc. Go to your doctor and he will tell you more detailed treatments available.
