How do you get rid of thistles?

Thistles are a night mare to get rid of. The roots are very deep into the soil. When it is not fully extracted, they will come back and increase in multiples. Hand-pulling will work but make sure to spray chemical herbicides such as Kill-X after the initial pulling. (This reassures the kill of each Thistle pulled). Mulch Mulch Mulch while mowing the lawn. Cut the grass to ground level. Most effective during fall when winter hits. Thistle grows the fastest with direct sunlight. You will have shorter days during fall with less sunlight. This will kill down the thistle better. It is also recommended to use the chemical herbicide during fall as all the nutrients of the plants are transferred to the roots, and the chemical can get to the roots faster. magnifying glass and tweezers... rough task though... the easiest (and not the most pleasant) is to scrub your hand with a rough sponge, this will remove most of the bits.. then you just have to let your skin deal with the rest... I fall in cactus from time to time (Mountain Biking) i scrub out what i can and within a week or two my skin as absorbed or expelled the rest.
