Soaking them in water for a few days is less painful. The cone will satruate, open up, & the seeds will float out.

Yes they do have but it is highly difficult to get viable seeds out of their cone in addition the pine species which is in kodai posses very small pine nuts so if u are looking to start a pine tree better try to graft pine on some closely related pinus species which u can get easily get it in nurseries good luck
