Prokaryotic cells do not have a nucleus or other membrane-bound organelles. Also, prokaryotic cells are microscopic single-celled organisms. Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus and other membrane-celled organisms. They can also be multicellular or single-celled organisms.

plant cells have cell walls made of cellulose where as prokaryotes have cell walls made of polysaccharides.

Plant cells have nuclei containing the genetic information (DNA) in chain form. Prokaryotic cells have no nucleus and the DNA exists freely in the cytoplasm in circular forms called plasmids.

prokaryotic cells dont contain mitochondria to produce ATP. Plant cells do contain mitochondria.

plant cells have choloroplasts containing chlorophyl. Prokaryotic cells dont have chloroplasts.

prokaryotic cells often also contain capsules surrounding the cell walls to stop them from dying out where as plant cells dont.

prokaryotic cells such as bacteria contain tails like a sperms. This is called a flangellum. This enables single celled organisms to move.

Prokaryotic cells are single-celled or unicellular organisms while eukaryotic cells can be unicellular or multicellular as it has different types of itself. eukaryotic cells seem to be more complex and bigger than prokaryotic cells.

Is cell division a prokaryotic or eukaryotic cell?

Both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells divide; eukaryotic cells through mitosis, prokaryotic cells through binary fission.

What are the prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?

prokaryotic is a cell without a nucleus and eukaryotic is a cell witha nucleus

What do ribosmoes in the eukaryotic cell do?

Same thing they do in all cells they are in; synthesize proteins. The just differ in subunit structure between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

Do prokaryotic cells have a membrane?

Yes.Both Prokaryotic Cells and Eukaryotic Cells have an outer cell membrane. But, prokaryotic cells do not have membranes around their organelles (inside the cell), whereas eukaryotic cells do.

Difference between eukaryotic cell and prokaryotic cell?

Eukariya means true nucleus.Main difference is Eukariyotes have a nucleus.Having membranous organells is identical to eukaryotes.

Are cells prokaryotic?

Cells can be prokaryotic, but they can be eukaryotic as well.

Is a toucan a eukaryotic or prokaryotic?

A toucan belongs to the Domain Eukarya and its cells are Eukaryotic. A Eukaryotic cell has a membrane-bound nucleus, while prokaryotic cells do not. A Eukaryotic cell is also 10x bigger than a prokaryotic cell.

Looking at a cell under a microscope you note that it is a prokarote?

- prokaryotic cells do not have a nucleus and eukaryotic cells do. - prokaryotic cells lack some organelles and eukaryotic cells do not. - prokaryotic cells are not found in humans and eukaryotic cells are. - prokaryotic cells are always unicellular and eukaryotic cells are often multicellular. - prokaryotic cells reproduce/divide by binary fission and eukaryotic cells reproduce/divide by mitosis/meiosis

Is the cell membrane the main difference between prokaryotes and eukaryotes?

No - although they differ slightly, both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells have a cell membrane. The main difference is that eukaryotic cells have a nucleus and membrane-bound organelles. Prokaryotic cells have neither of these.
