What point of reference can be used? Can such a point exist? Life may be assumed to begin at conception and presumed to end at 'death'. But how can it be 'known'? Simply put, If I walk into a room where you are and then walk out, I am alive to you while I'm in the room with you, but before I entered and after I leave, I am dead from your point of reference. Yet from my point of reference there has been no change - as from you point of view there is no change in your status yet to me you've been birthed in my consciousness as I've entered the room and departed or died to my consciousness as I've left. To a third person observing this at some point you have entered their consciousness ie become alive, to be in the room for me to walk through etc etc.

Conversely a higher absorbance rate indicates an increase in cell proliferation. Rarely, an increase in proliferation may be offset by cell death; evidence of cell death may be inferred from morphological changes.
