Treating metal and their alloys to decreased temperatures can have multiple effects. Super cooling metals allows for higher conductivity and processor speeds. Similarly low temperatures can also make some metals very brittle.

I suspect it does. A friend of my daughters has pins etc in her leg after an accident and suffers in the cold, she maintains she knows when it's going to rain. My dog broke his leg and has a rod and wire around the bones, I take extra care in bad weather. I know If I went for a walk on a snowy icy day, holding a metal object in my hand I would almost have to eventually drop the object. Unfortunately, many people and animals have the same metal inside them, with only, on occasions skin coverage I think I would not want to go out, now matter how much I was being pursuaded, my dog looks at the weather and runs inside he can manage around 10-15 mins on a really cold day before starting to limp a little, it is so sad but his will is stronger than ours sees a doggie friend and he's off only to suffer later, bless him.

I have titanium wires/screws/plate in my foot. I am finding that if my foot gets cold then it's quite painful and more swollen. I was wondering of anyone else has this problem? It takes a long while for it to warm up and stop hurting - a hot water bottle seems to be the only thing that helps.
