polygenic inheritance is when more than one genes are responsible for a character/phenotype. for example human skin color. if one want to draw a pedigree for that, he will not be able to succeed. although individual genes at molecular level is inherited according to mendel's laws.
and mendelian inheritance simply follows mendels laws. also the character is controlled by one gene only. for example pea plant height.
polygenic inheritance has to do with a significant number of human traits, such as eye colour, skin colour, height, weight, and muscle strenght are are all typically regulated by more than one allele in a pattern
'A single characteristic that is controlled by two or more genes'
Monogenic means that you just get one type of genes while polygenic means you get many. They affect the phenotype by determining what it will be able to get for genes.
you have a brain right? i know so then use it.
distinguish between multiple allels and polygenic inheritance
In Mendelian inheritance the allele has a one to one effect on the phenotype. A polygenic effect is given when many genes contribute in an additive fashion to the phenotype. Height is such and may have as many as eight genes contributing to the effect. Behavior is also of this type. Eye color is more Mendelian in nature.
Polygenic trait
"Polygenic" is the term that refers to the determination of a given trait that is a result of the interaction of many genes. Traits such as height, skin, color are polygenic. Polygenic traits do not show the phenotypic ration that charecterizes Mendelian Inheritance eventhough the trait is inherited as stated by Gregor Mendel. Many Polygenic traits are often influenced by the environmental factors.
When more than two alleles are involved in the inheritance of a trait, it is called polygenic inheritance. Many quantitative characters have polygenic inheritance. Inheritance of blood groups is an example of polygenic inheritance in human being. When more than two alleles are involved in the inheritance of a trait, it is called polygenic inheritance. polygenic inheritance
Mendelian inheritance, incomplete dominance, codominance, multiple alleles, polygenic inheritance, and sex-linked inheritance.
incomplete dominance, condominance, multiple alleles, polygenic inheritance

i wanna know that too, or is it polygenic inheritance or a simple mendelian trait?

Polygenic inheritance is when a group of gene pairs act together to produce a trait.

Differencebetween polygenic and pleiotropic traits
Traits that are controlled a multiple gene loci. Polygenic traits.
