active transport is different from diffusion.
active transport has to do with the movement of chemical substance through a gradient of concentration.
diffusion has to do with requiring the expenditure of energy
Diffusion does not require APT or a carrier; atoms/molecules just flows with concentration gradient (equivalent to osmosis without the membrane barrier). Active Transport usually requires a protein carrier and ATP for the carrier to work. Active transport usually works against the concentration gradient in the human body. An example of active transport would be the Na/K pumps.
hope that helps
Specifically Diffusion, but it is also active transport
active transport and osmosis
Yes except, diffusion is a passive process (no energy is required) whereas active transport requires energy. this is because it is moving UP then concentration gradient whereas diffusion moves DOWN it
The process in which particles move from high to low concentration is called diffusion .
Active transport requires ATP and passive transport does not. Active transport goes against the concentration gradient and passive transport goes with the concentration gradient and includes osmosis, diffusion and facilitated diffusion.
simple and facilitated diffusion don't require energy and are forms of passive transport. Active transport requires energy
Specifically Diffusion, but it is also active transport
Active transport uses energy while diffusion does not
if you mean that active transport is an act of diffusion, than yes it is.
Active transport requires energy in the form of ATP.
The main difference is that diffusion does not require energy and active transport does require energy. Just for the record diffusion has a concentration that moves from high to low, and active transport has a concentration that moves from low to high. (Hope this helps to answer your question!)
active transport and osmosis
Facilitated diffusion, or diffusion through ion channels, is not a form of active transport. It is a spontaneous passive transport.
simple diffusion.
Active transport Passive transport (diffusion and transport using protein channels) Receptor mediated transport
facilitated diffusion, secondary active transport and active transport
facilitated diffusion, secondary active transport and active transport
