Plants use photosynthesis, water, and oxygen to create the things they need to survive, however plants cannot do this without its leaves. Especially when the leaves have to adapt to new environments. The leaves go through photosynthesis, which they can only do because they have chloroplasts in them, which convert the sunlight into food. The plants also have cuticles which help the leaves contain the water it absorbs.

The stomata of leaves meant fro the gas exchange. The have inter cellular spaces in the spongy paranchyma through which these gases can reach all the photosynthetic cells rapidly.

Idk:) the shape of a leaf determines how much water the leaf might loose because of evaporation and how much sun light the leaf would allow to pass through it <----- I think🌚

The purpose of the veins of a leaf is to hold nutrient and carry out the role of photosynthesis.

What is the photosynthesis cell called?

the main photosynthetic cells in a leaf are the palisade cells, they contain many chloroplasts which actually carry out photosynthesis.

Do plants with non-green leaves have chlorophyll and can they carry out photosynthesis?

Plants with non-green leaves have chlorophyll and do carry out the process of PHOTOSYNTHESIS. It is just that the chlorophyll is masked by other pigment.

What does transpiration do?

Transpiration is the process where plants carry water from the roots to the rest of the plant, including the leaf, to be used in photosynthesis.

Yeah! The stems carry the food and water to the leaf the process is called photosynthesis.

Can guard cells carry out photosynthesis?

No Guard cells are cells that close when there is dry weather, preventing the leaf from becoming dehydrated

What is the function of the mesophyll layers in a leaf?

To carry out photosynthesis as the cells contain chloroplasts and the organelles perform photosynthesis. It has a waxy cuticle which is impermeable to water, so the water passes out of the leaves as water vapour.
