Short answer: it depends on several factors, but 5-7 years is common, while it can often be even longer. Or possibly shorter. To begin with, there are several varieties of Walnut trees of both of the 2 basic different types, each with with a range of age to sexual maturity (to the age at which they will produce seeds). The 2 basic common types would be Black Walnuts (a native tree, commonly seen growing "wild" in the Southern states) and the so-called "English" walnuts, most often intentionally planted and hybridized from developed stock originating in a distant part of the world. (For those of you who are not familiar with the 2 types, The Black Walnut tree produces a nut with a very thick, hard to crack "shell", with a relatively small percentage of strongly flavored nutmeat when compared to a simiarly sized, but much thinner shelled, milder flavored "English" walnut that is the source of most of our domestic walnut crop in the USA.) Next, some Walnut trees are top grafted to rootstocks of a variety other than their own for different reasons (disease resistance, early maturity, suitability to different growing conditions, etc. If they are not grafted, they are called seedlings. Next, local growing conditions can and do significantly influence the sexual maturity of Walnut trees. Those grown in a Southern location of the USA (for example Georgia) will often mature 1 to several years ahead of the same variety and obtained from the same nursery, but grown in a more Northern location (Wisconsin). The same holds true for many fruit trees as well. Next, top grafted Walnut trees will often mature one to several years sooner than the exact same variety grown out as a seedling.
A durian tree typically takes 5 to 10 years to start bearing fruit. However, some varieties can take up to 20 years to produce fruit.
Generally, it takes a banana tree about 9 to 12 months to bear fruit. However, this timeline can vary depending on factors such as the banana variety, growing conditions, and care provided to the tree.
well you gotta take the green shell off of the actual nut shell.. its got these little thorns on them that you cant really see but sure do feel so i wear gloves to take care of that problem, than after you are done doing that, i usually put the ones i have in a big bowl, i run water into the container to make the hazelnuts that have worms in them or didn't grow they float on top of the water and you just throw those away, sit down with a nut cracker and crack the shell.. a lot of people ask how to take the skin off.. i just rub my fingers together and it takes it right off, after that, eat... if u want idea on what to cook them in.. just look on google.. hope this helped a little bit..
Plum trees may be either self pollinating or dependent on other (nearby) plum trees for pollination. Check with your local nursery to find out which varieties are which and best suited to your climate and soil type. Generally, trees may begin to bear fruit from one to five years after planting.
Yes, you can drown a cockroach. Cockroaches can hold their breath for up to 40 minutes, so it may take around that long for them to drown.
A hazelnut tree will produce nuts about four to five years after it has been planted. However, these nuts may be small in size or few in number. It can take another two to three years for the tree to become heavy producer.
Depends how long it takes for the male bear to finish.
How long does it take for a walnut tree to bear That depends on the tree. If it is a grafted tree then 2 -3 years if it is a seedling then 6,7,8 years or it may never bear nuts.
