8 weeks
An embryo typically takes about 8 weeks to develop into a fetus. This period marks the end of the embryonic stage and the beginning of the fetal stage in human development.
An embryo is considered to have transformed into a fetus at around 8 weeks of gestation following conception. This marks the point where key organs have formed and the basic body structure is in place. At this stage, the developing organism is referred to as a fetus.
fertilization occurs in the oviducts and the fertilized ovum moves down to the womb where it attaches its self to the walls, once the it will move no further and all other stages take place there
Implantation typically occurs 6-12 days after fertilization. Once the embryo implants in the uterus, it can then develop and grow into a fetus.
If it's a human embryo, about nine months. If you're a mouse embryo, about twenty days. Gestation time in mammals varies species to species, but it's generally safe to say the bigger the animal, the longer the gestation.

A mother elephant is pregnant for 645 days, or 1.7 years.

You've got it confused I'm afraid - the embryo forms FROM the egg. It doesn't move anywhere. If you're talking about a bird or reptile egg, the shell forms around the embryo and yolk sac during its passage through the mother's body.

You mean "gestation"? Gestation is the carrying of an embryo or fetus inside a female viviparous animal. Got it from Wikipedia. Sorry about the links, I can' take them off.
After fertilization, the zygote is formed, which is the initial stage of a new organism. The zygote undergoes rapid cell division to form an embryo. Changes in gene expression and cell differentiation occur, leading to the development of tissues and organs. Eventually, the embryo develops into a fully formed fetus.
