So, if you are limiting the question to white Americans, I know this. My great -great grandfather (times 11, I'm not quite sure how you express that) was Thomas Gardner who came to America in 1624, one of the earliest settlers. If you count him as the first generation and you count my grandson (born in 2008) as the latest generation, you will have a total of 15 generations. I don't know of another family with more.
