Adding salt to the isotonic solution above would affect the cell by making it shrivel up, and possibly even die. this happens because by adding salt, you would make the cell hypotinic, which is uneven.

when a cell is placed in a salt solution that means the cell has less osmotic pressure than the sorroundings so water will move from the cell to the cell to the solution and hence the cell will be dilated

when the cell is placed in water that means the cell has higher osmotic pressure and water will move to the cell making it turgid and burst if its animal cell it wont burts in plants because they have cell walls

What is Isotonic Exercise in a SIMPLE description?

Isotonic exercise (or muscle contraction) is when the muscle contracts and shortens giving movement (ie a bicep curl, lifting and lowering weight) Nearly all the training you do is Isotonic the opposite is Isometric, where the muscle contracts but des not shorten, giving no movement. Eg, Weightlifting, Lifting the weight up and down is isotonic Holding the weight still above the head is isometric

Is hypertonic the solution is above strength in solute?

Yes. Hypertonic means "above strength" reffering to the solute. Hypotonic means "below strength" Isotonic means "equal in strength" Im studying this in biology and actually have a test tomorrow. Hope this Helped!
