Well in theory everything plays a role in cytokinesis. From photosynthesis and respiration in plant cells to provide and release energy for the process, to a person undergoing respiration to return carbon atoms to the environment to provide material for additional cell division (in which cytokinesis is a part of the process).
Tissues performing nuclear division without intervening cytokinesis
Cytokinesis is the process of dividing the cell's cytoplasm to form two daughter cells. It follows the separation of the genetic material during mitosis or meiosis. In animal cells, cytokinesis typically involves the formation of a cleavage furrow, while plant cells form a cell plate.
Each part of the pinched off cytoplasm contains its own nucleus and cytoplasmic organelles.
It differs during cytokenisis, the splitting of the cell. In animal cells the two new nuclei go to opposite sides of the cell and a microfiliment is pulled tight around the cell until it is so tight that it cuts it in half. In plant cells a new cell wall is created in between the two nuclei. During nuclear division in animal cells centrioles are visible and cytokinesis is os furrowing type. In plants centrioles are not seen during nuclear division and cytokinesis is achieved by cell plate formation.

In plant cells, cytokinesis involves the formation of a cell plate due to the presence of a rigid cell wall, while in animal cells, cytokinesis involves the formation of a cleavage furrow that pinches the cell into two. Plant cells also have unique structures called phragmoplasts that aid in cell plate formation during cytokinesis, which animal cells lack.

Cytokinesis in animal cells take place by furrowing where as in plant cells it is by cell plate formation. Centrioles are visible in animal cell during spindle formation where as these are not seen in plant cells. The dividing plant cells generally have cell wall where as in animals, cell wall is absent.
In plants cytokinesis occurs by the formation of cell plate which takes place by centrifugal method while in animals it occurs by the formation of cleavage furrow which takes place by centripetal method.
During cytokinesis in plant cells, a structure called the phragmoplast forms. The phragmoplast consists of microtubules and cell wall materials that help guide the formation of the new cell wall between the two daughter cells. It is crucial for the successful completion of cell division in plant cells.
