Try this for a basic, high school level, explanation of how cells are adapted to the tasks of absorbing/excreting large amounts of materials:
Cell membranes are barriers to the passage of some kinds of substances. Some cells, though, need to absorb and excrete large amounts of materials, so they have adapted by using processes like facilitated diffusion, where transport proteins help certain molecules to pass across cell membranes. Also, the process of active transport, which requires the expenditure of chemical energy supplied by the cell, can move solutes across membranes, even against the direction usually indicated by natural diffusion. Cells use exocytosis to excrete the contents of a membrane vesicle that forms around a capsule of cellular exports, or even "trash" the cell needs to excrete. Cells can also then incorporate the vesicle membrane's components into the cell membrane. By endocytosis, a cell can bring in what it needs, too. The membrane brings a capsule of extra-cellular material which folds into the membrane, forms a vesicle, and then spills its contents into the cytoplasm for a cell to use.
Materials can enter and leave the cell more easily and quickly, and the membrane can stretch and the cell expand to accomodate larger amounts of storage product. This is expecially seen in fat cells.
Bio-fertilizers are normally the name given to manure and compost, although there are other materials which qualify.Advantageswider range of nutrients, particularly micronutrientshelp increase soil organic matter contentrelatively inexpensiveno (or negligible amounts) of harmful materials such as heavy metalsDisadvantagesmuch lower nutrient density -- requires large amounts to get enough for most cropsrequires a different type of machine to apply than chemical fertilizerssometimes hard to locate in certain areasodor
There are many materials that light can not travel through which are called opaque objects.
quantitative data is the data that uses numbers and or amounts.
They have root cells inside their roots to absorb water they are tough to stay in the ground. A root hair cells job is to provide water and nutrition for a plant. Root hair cells have to absorb large amounts of water. The process by which root cells take in water is osmosis. In order to take in large amounts of water, a cell needs a large surface area. Root cells, have a large surface area over which absorption of minerals and water can occur.
It is likely true that absolutely everything is capable of absorbing sound waves; if there are materials that cannot, they would be special indeed. Some materials are much better than others, but even the materials that are most resistant would be absorbing small amounts of energy from sound waves, assuming that the material is in a medium (like air) capable of transporting sound.
usually the sponge feeds by inserting the penis into the mouth region therefor excreting large amounts of semen into the sponges self
you people better figure it out or else......
The grasshopper is adapted for moving large amounts of air into its body via the air tubes. They need a lot of oxygen to be able to hop and expire a lot of energy.
Soil composition
Massive amounts of gaseous exchange takes place through stomata and it is also used in absorbing water.
Different amounts may produce different results.
Formal qualifications are important in that it informs potential employers that you are capable of studying at a known pace and absorbing vast amounts of information and being tested on it. It also ensures that you have covered certain materials and have the same frame of reference as other people in your field.
They contain large amounts of chlorophyll, which is necessary for photosynthesis.
They have muscles that store large amounts of oxygen

The answer depends on what type of radiation and how much. Small amounts of infra-red radiation will make you feel warm, large amounts will burn you. Visible light has little effect. Small amounts of some ultra violet radiation will help you synthesise vitamin D and also give you a tan. Large amounts will cause sun burn and is likely to lead to skin melanomas and cancers. Absorbing more powerful radiation - such as gamma waves - is much more likely to cause cancers and lead to genetic mutations.
