∙ 12y agoAnimals convert food into energy because they eat the food lying around and enevtually it comes out the other way. (you know what I mean) And this animals waste degrades very easily into the soils, thus becoming soil itself. Once worms come around to freshen the soils up, it is stock full of nutrients, and oculd be used for farming crops or other goods in.
Actually, what the question is how do the carbohydrates in foods get turned into energy. The answer is that when food is eaten the nutrients get placed into the blood stream after going through the intestines. Then as they are traveling throughout the ,lets say dogs body, it gets absorbed by the live cells whether they be skin, muscle or organ cells. Then the body takes carbohydrates and sends them through a lengthy process using most of the organelles in the that converts carbohydrates into ATP molecules (adenosine triphosphate). These molecules are taken apart by metabolism which breaks the ATP molecules apart releasing energy like miniature explosions. that gets transferd to the cell tissue than muscle or organ that is being used.

∙ 13y agoSince animal cells do not have chlorophyll to perform photosynthesis, they rely on a process called cellular respiration (plant cells use both cellular respiration and photosynthesis.) Cellular respiration use glucose (from food we eat) and is broken up by oxygen to obtain energy and a waste product of water (we breathe out the water in air). And so, energy is conserved for necessary activities.

∙ 9y agoThe process used by animals to obtain energy from food is simple. The process is called digestion and starts in the mouth.

Metabolism
endergonic is a reaction under which energy is stored in a chemical reaction in which the standard change in free energy is positive, and energy is absorbed.yourwelcome.
The process of breaking down food to its building blocks is called digestion. We can then absorb the products and use them in our bodies.
Animals have no source of energy to make food. Animals get energy from the food they eat. Plants have a way of capturing energy from sunlight which they then use to make carbohydrates
The actual answer is the leaf. The leaf is the storage home of the food inside plants. The roots suck the food. But it gets stored in the leaf.
The process of breaking down food to release energy is called "Digestion".
cellular respiration. apex
No, the body has to process the food before the energy can be accessed.
animals get energy from the food they eat that gives them energy
food and water. :)
Cellular respiration is the process the animals in the food web use to convert energy from food into ATP.
Cellular respiration
Animals need food to stay alive because food gives them nutrients and energy. Nutrients and energy are both important because they help the bodies of animals function.
respiration
Animals need to breathe to get oxygen. Oxygen burns the food within their bodies and releases energy for various activities.

Digestion is an important part of the food energy process. We eat food to get energy into our bodies like recharging a battery. Digestion breaks the food down into Energy which our bodies can use in our muscles, to make our heart beat, our lungs breathe and legs move.
Chickens get their energy the as other animals, including humans, do - by ingesting food which their bodies convert into fuel to keep them functioning.
