I looked up Lending Tree at the better business bureau's website. There were three entries for Lending Tree on the first page. Now, none of them were 'BBB Accredited', but that in and of itself would not make me balk, and none of the three had any registered complaints. The one closest to my location was apparently no longer in operation however, and the Better Business Bureau did say that they did not leave a forwarding #, as well s the mail from the BBB was being returned. If the Ending tree operates as a franchise, ten perhaps this is just one failed situation, but if not, the BBB did mention something about obtaining legal assistance if you have any unfinished business with that defunct office.
