Biotic, anything derived from something biotic or something that was once biotic is too considered biotic.

Carrots are abiotic since they are nonliving things. Even though a carrot is a veggie, they are assumed to be abiotic by scientists

Biotic. It is grown as part of the orange, which is a living thing. Just because it's no longer able to grow doesn't make it any less biotic.
