You can tell whether something is an organism by remembering MRS GREN. M - movement R - respiration S - sensitivity G - growth R - reproduction E - excretion N - nutrition An organsim can do all the events mentioned above in MRS GREN. Movement - Animals and humans can run, swim etc. and plants also move. Respiration - All living things carry out respiration (breathing) to release energy. Sensitivity - Living things resond to their environment. They see, hear, touch and taste. Growth - All living things grow larger Excretion - Living things absorb or produce nutrition which are passed out as waste. Nutrition - Food is required by all living things. So yes, I supose humans are organisms. They can do all of the above.
