Fats can be used in cellular respiration. Fatty acids can produce Acetyl-CoA (through beta-oxidation), which is an important reactant in cellular respiration. This Acetyl-CoA then enters the Citric Acid Cycle.

The main source of Acetyl-CoA for cellular respiration is glucose, however fatty acids can also be used.
