You could have an allergic reaction to some substances found in fruit like I am. I just had a BAD allergic reaction to strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, pomegranates, and now peaches. Every time I eat them the left side of my neck, just where my jaw and neck meet up at almost, swells up and hurts. Then come the itching hands, then feet, then face, then I break out in hives all over. I never used to be allergic to fruit but now I am. Check with an allergist to see if you are allergic to any fruits. The more you keep eating foods that you are allergic to the worse your symptoms will progress like mine did. Now I have to carry around an epi-pen and benadryl just in case I eat anything that is bad for me.

Can anorexia lead to swollen lymph nodes?

Anemia does not normally cause swollen lymph nodes. lymph nodes are most commonly the sign of bacterial/viral infections. These lymph nodes are usually soft, mobile, tender and swell to a large size over a short period of time. other causes of swollen lymph nodes incluse benign growths and malignancies. When watching out for malignancies, lymph nodes should be checked if they are hard, non-mobile, cause no pain and swell largely over a longer period of time (weeks-months)
