Haemopoesis
Haemo (gr) refers to blood
-poesis (gr) refers to formation
Haematopoiesis, which happens in your bone marrow, primarily in your femur
hematopoiesis
Hematopoiesis.
hemopoiesis
Hemopoiesis
The process of making blood cells is called hemopoiesis. The formation of red blood cells occurs in the bone marrow located in flat bones and femur. The bone marrow is soft spongy center of the bone. The formation of red blood cell is an extremely active process producing an estimate of 2.5 million red blood cells. The formation of white blood cells occurs in myeloid and lymphatic tissue. The myeloid are: longbones, ribs, sternum, and portions of skull. The lymphoid tissue are : lymphnodes, tonsils, spleen thymus.Platelet formation occurs at the genetic level.
The process of building up and breaking down bones is called calcification. This process begins with layers of calcium that are deposited on the bones or are removed from the bones via decalcification.
The center of the bones is called the marrow. It is where blood cells are made.
Because you dont have blood vessles in your bones, and you dont bleed out unless your blood vessles are punctured... retard!!
Calcuim makes your bones and teeth stornger :D

bones
Formation of a bone is called osteogenesis.

by the formation of more bone cells i.e. osteocytes
Marrow is in the center of long bones, especially. It functions in blood cell formation, among other things.
Hematopoiesis is the process of red blood cell production inside of bones.
The muscle tissue bones that make blood are called the Cancellous bone.
The process of building up and breaking down bones is called calcification. This process begins with layers of calcium that are deposited on the bones or are removed from the bones via decalcification.

pelvic bones
Blood cells develop in the bone marrow (the process is called hematopoesis). Specifically red bone marrow is hematopoetic (as opposed to yellow marrow, which is fatty tissue). The most important sites of hematopoesis are the femur, humerus, sternum, pelvis, ribs, scapula, and vertebrae.
