One might think, but others may think not, merely stories on daily life adventures.
The discovery of evolution began in the 19th century with scientists like Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace proposing the theory of natural selection as a mechanism driving evolutionary change. Darwin's seminal work, "On the Origin of Species," was published in 1859 and is considered a foundational text in the field of evolution.
Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace were the first to formulate a scientific argument for the theory of evolution. In 1859 Darwin published his book On the Origin of Species. Until this was published there were other ideas. There is a competing idea, not a theory, that is creationism. This is based on theological thinking.
The descent of modification is also known as the theory of evolution by natural selection. This concept, proposed by Charles Darwin, states that species evolve over time through the process of natural selection, where individuals with advantageous traits are more likely to survive and pass on their genes to the next generation.
Charles Darwin was born in 1809. He sailed around the coast of South America on a ship called the Beagle for five years, he began his journey at the age of 25. While sailing he collected many different types of plants and animals on the mainland and on islands. He discovered that animals are all unique to their own island and the animals would come up to the humans because they had never met humans before. One of his most famous theories is his idea of the survival of the fittest, also called natural selection. It basically means: The unequal ability of individuals to survive and reproduce. Darwin proposed that organisms descended from common ancestors and that natural selection is the driving force for evolution. It took Darwin 25 years to publish his book about evolution. He thought that his theory took away a need for a God. Darwin's theory of evolution challenged both the Religious and the science community ideas at that time. Alfred Russel Wallace was the man who motivated Darwin to publish his book (The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection) because Wallace had come up with the same theory Darwin had and Darwin wanted to get credit for his work so he published his book before Wallace could.
Darwin and Wallace did observe evolution and believed it occured through the process of natural selection. This has been accepted by the scientific community, and was refined by molecular biology and the disovery of the mechanims behind inheritance. Gregor Mendel gave us the idea of dominant and recessive genes. However, while they are most prominently known in the history of evolutionary biology, Jean Baptiste Lamarck should be recognized for his work with evolution. It was because of Lamarck that scientists like Darwin and Wallace began to explore evolution as a plausible mechanism for the origin of the world's species. Lamarck has been largely discredited due to his proposed mechanism of evolution of inheritance as acquired characteristics which has been shown to be incorrect. However, Lamarckian theory has some validity as environment actually affects genes. This was notably shown by the study of Dutch children's genes that were affected by the fact their grandmothers or even great grandmothers had been pregnant during the horrendous famine imposed on them during the second world war.

The ship was the HMS Beagle.
Darwin was in the Galapagos Islands August to September 1834. It was there that he began wondering about evolution. He returned to England in 1836, and in 1837 Darwin started his first notebook on evolution, secretly.
Yes his name was Joseph Dalton HookerAmendment:The scope of the question depends on WHEN Darwin needed an assistant.During the voyage of HMS Beagle, Darwin's assistant was Simon "Syms"Covington. You can read more about young master Covington and hisadventures here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syms_CovingtonCovington began life aboard HMS Beagle as a fiddler and cabin boy buthe soon began assisting Darwin. Covington also kept a detailed journal, the published title of which is"The Journal of Syms Covington, Assistant to Charles Darwin Esq."
No. In fact, it was only after Darwin had already published his model that we began to have some understanding of the geological and physical processes that allow us to accurately date the Earth.
He was 8-9 years old because he was much related to buddhist as both of them found relation between man and animals
The founders of modern science, such as Galileo, Pasteur, Newton and Darwin were Christians very much like the ordinary people of their times. It is only in later life that some, such as Charles Darwin, began to doubt the Church and cease to believe in God.

Charles Darwin traveled to many places around the world on his ship called the Beagle. These locations include Sydney, Hobart and King George's Sound (Australia), Cocos, Mauritus, Cape Verde, Tenerife (Coast of Africa), CapeTown (Africa), Azores (Coast of Spain), Bahia, Rio De Janeiro, Montevideo, Falkland Islands, Valparaiso, Callao-Lima (South America) and the Galapagos Islands (Coast of South America).
