ALL the organs work with the skin... A big one in area, and a major one with keeping us in and other stuff out. (That's not a joke! A major function of the human skin is to prevent invasion by hostil others...and that means just about everything that is not inside.)
The Organ System notions are sort of dated and more or less demand a sort of 19th century view of the human body. Sort of like a bunch of billard balls bouncing, the same as pre-quantum mechanics, and the fMRI.
The entire notion about separate pieces working with separate pieces is just not supported by the last 100 years of research and looking at Man as the study of Man.
