The 4 different kinds of protozoan are amoebas, ciliates, paramecia, and dinoflagellates. Protozoa in Greek means first-animals even though they weren't at all. They are a diverse group of single-celled, microscopic or near-microscopic eukaryotes(some are so big you don't need a microscope). Sadly, some are known for being diseases but most are vitally important ecologically as key links in food chains.
