MUTUALISM: both living together with mutual benefit or both organisms benefited.

PREDATION: The species was eating another organisms( their prey)

PARASITISM: where in one organism is harmed and the other is benefited, the one that is harmed may die and the one benefited is a parasite.

COMMENSALISM: where in only one of the organisms is benefited and the other is unaffected.

COMPETITION: In which the organisms compete for each other to live.

Ecological Relationship:

Mutualism:

Mutualism is the way two organisms of different species biologically interact in a relationship in which each individual derives a fitness benefit. Similar interactions within a species are known as co-operation. Mutualism can be contrasted with interspecific competition, in which each species experiences reduced fitness, and exploitation, or parasitism, in which one species benefits at the expense of the other. Mutualism is a type of symbiosis. Symbiosis is a broad category, defined to include relationships that are mutualistic, parasitic, or commensal. Mutualism is only one type.

A well known example of mutualism is the relationship between ungulates (such as cows) and bacteria within their intestines. The ungulates benefit from the cellulase produced by the bacteria, which facilitates digestion; the bacteria benefit from having a stable supply of nutrients in the host environment.

Competition:

Competition is the interaction between two or more organisms, or groups of organisms, that use a common resource in short supply. There can be competition between members of the same species and competition between members of different species. Competition invariably results in a reduction in the numbers of one or both competitors, and in evolution contributes both to the decline of certain species and to the evolution of adaptations.

Commensalism:

Commensalism is a class of relationship between two organisms where one organism benefits but the other is neutral (there is no harm or benefit). There are two other types of association: mutualism (where both organisms benefit) and parasitism (one organism benefits and the other one is harmed). Commensalism is harder to demonstrate than parasitism and mutualism, for it is easier to show a single instance whereby the host is affected, than it is to prove or disprove that possibility. Often, a detailed investigation will show that the host indeed has become affected by the relationship.

List the levels of organization in an ecosystem?

The Ecological Hierarchy begins with organisms. The second level is population which is defined as a group of organisms that are members of the same species and live in the same place at the same time. Next is community which is all of the different populations living in the same general environment. Lastly, an ecosystem is made up of the community and the physical environment.

What are the 6 levels of ecological organization?

In fact, there are eight levels of ecology. They are the biosphere, region, landscape, ecosystem, community, interactions, population and individual organism. Biosphere talks about how air in the atmosphere affect ecology. Region talks about the geological history and how it has affected biodiversity in the region, specifically to certain organisms. Landscape talks about what happens it the area, like agriculture or commercial. Ecosystem is simply the system of ecology that includes plants, animals, humans, the atmosphere and all other factors. Community is the certain species that is mentioned. Interactions are the interdependencies on one organism to another, which includes terms such as parasitic. Indivudual organisms relate to just the organism itself.

What are the clements six phases climax?

The Clements six phases model describes the sequence of ecological succession as: 1) bare substrate, 2) colonization, 3) establishment, 4) competition, 5) climax, and 6) retrogression. The climax phase represents the stable endpoint of succession where the ecosystem reaches a state of equilibrium and species composition remains relatively constant.
