The primary structure is just the amino acids bonded to each other in a linear fashion. Secondary structure is where the alpha-helices, beta-sheets, and b-turns come into play. The tertiary structure is when a single amino acid chain forms a 3D structure. And lastly, the quaternary stuture is when 2 or more tertiary structures complex.
