The centrioles are similar to a railing at the two ends of a cell. The spindle fibers attach to the chromosomes (matching pairs) which are lined up in the middle of the cell. This spot is called the equator. The spindle fibers are also attached to the centrioles. The fibers begin to pull the chromosomes apart while holding fast to the centrioles.
See the animation link below:
Centrioles are part of the cytoskeleton that organize spindle fibers at each pole during cell division.
Although we are not sure, we believe that centrioles have something do do with spindle formation.
Centrioles and a starburst cluster of spindle fibers would be found in animal cells during cell division (mitosis or meiosis). Centrioles play a role in organizing the microtubules that make up the spindle fibers, which help separate chromosomes during cell division.
Centrioles. They are visible during metaphase, the second stage of mitosis. Added: Centrosomes. Centrioles are present in animal cells but are, seemingly, not needed to mount a spindle apparatus. Plant cells get along very well without centrioles.
Centrioles help the formations of spindle fiber in cell division.

The centrioles in animal cells form the asters and the spindle fibers.

Spindle fibers are thin tubes that form between the centrioles during mitosis. True..
During cell division, structures like the chromosomes, spindle fibers, and centrioles are more clearly visible. Chromosomes condense and can be seen as distinct entities, spindle fibers form a dynamic network between the centrioles, and the centrioles organize the spindle apparatus.
Spindle fibers are formed by micro tubules. They are organized by centrioles.
Centrioles begin to organize spindle fibers during the prophase of mitosis. In this phase, the centrosomes, which contain the centrioles, move to opposite poles of the cell, and the spindle fibers start to form from the microtubules organized by the centrioles. This organization is crucial for ensuring proper chromosome alignment and separation during cell division.
