Cell wall main function is to keep cell intact and to maintain its shape and size. It helps in protecting cell from outer agents like attack by other cells or some chemicals like acids, bases and other etc. It also helps cell to pass through other unfavourable condition like less amount of water or sudden change in temprature etc.
