Membrane: sheets of epithelial and connective tissues.
There are 5 types of membranes:
Cutaneous- forms the skin
protects, heat regulation, elimination(waste such as oils and minerals) and enviromental info
Mucous-lines all passageways that lead to the exterior of the boby(secrete a lubricant)
Serous-lines closed cavities and the organs in them(cavity and lungs)
Fibrous-lines all joint cavities(shoulder knee) and covers the outer surface of bones
Fascia-2types..superficial (thin tought membrane that covers muscles beneath the dermis.
deep (covers glands blood vessels and nerves and lies beneath the superficial fascia)
The two major categories of body membranes are epithelial membranes and connective tissue membranes. Epithelial membranes include mucous membranes, serous membranes, and cutaneous membranes (skin). Connective tissue membranes include synovial membranes that line joint cavities.
The types of membranes lining cavities that communicate with the exterior of the body are mucous membranes. These membranes are found in areas such as the respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive tracts, and they secrete mucus to protect and lubricate the tissues.
These membranes are called mucous membranes or mucosa. They secrete mucus to protect the lining and provide lubrication for various body cavities that are exposed to external environments, such as the respiratory, digestive, and reproductive systems.
The body membranes in the ventral cavity include the pericardium (around the heart), pleura (around the lungs), and peritoneum (lining the abdominal cavity and covering the abdominal organs). These membranes provide protection and support to the organs within the ventral cavity.
dense fibrous connective tissue

There are four different membranes in the body that are related to tissue; cutaneous membranes, mucosal membranes, synovial membranes, and serous membranes.
Lipids store energy, form the membranes around our cells, and insulate our body.

serous membrane
If your question is "are membranes body cells?" the answer is no. Like the skin around your body is the boundary of your physical self so the membrane is the boundary around an individual cell.
Mucous membranes
I would guess that membranes are to cells as skin is to your body
Semi permeable membranes as the plasma membranes in cells of our body.
These membranes are called mucous membranes or mucosa. They secrete mucus to protect the lining and provide lubrication for various body cavities that are exposed to external environments, such as the respiratory, digestive, and reproductive systems.
Cell membranes all control the activities of of the cell..they are known as the powerhouse of the body because they effect how the body works
The body membranes in the ventral cavity include the pericardium (around the heart), pleura (around the lungs), and peritoneum (lining the abdominal cavity and covering the abdominal organs). These membranes provide protection and support to the organs within the ventral cavity.
