Cells can release energy in two basic processes:
Cellular respiration and fermentation. Cellular respiration requires oxygen but fermentation does not. Cellular respiration releases MUCH more usable energy then fermentation does.
cellular respiration and fermentation
Glycolysis and the Calvin Cycle.
There are two ways that the molecules (i.e: water) move through the membrane: passive transport and active transport. Active transport requires that the cell use energy that it has obtained from food to move the molecules (or larger particles) through the cell membrane. Passive transport does not require such an energy expenditure, and occurs spontaneously.
put a seiran on
State two ways in which the energy released in respiration is used in all animals?Respiration and Movement are two examples of this. I see this is an AQA GCE question... it is what I am doing!
Active transport is when cells use energy to move things through a cell membrane.Passive transport is when the cell uses no energy to move materials.Active - Specifically uses energy and through a cell membranePassive - Specifically uses no energy and materials
The two ways that materials can pass through the cell membrane are active transport and passive transport. In active transport the molecules cannot pass freely across the membrane and have to be carried across in ways that require energy. In passive transport the molecules can pass freely across the membrane in ways that do not take any energy.
Cells use the energy from ATP for active transport and cell division.
Cells use the energy from ATP for active transport and cell division.
Cells use the energy from ATP for active transport and cell division.
cell division, locomotion movement, and metabolism
Passive transport and this can be done two ways, through osmosis and diffusion.
Two ways a cell can eat food is by one, endocytosis which is when non-dissolved materials or food enter through the cell membrane to the cell's cytoplasm. These non-dissolved materials come from the outside environment. This way also includes phagocytosis in which an cell use pseudopods to help bring in the non-dissolved materials from the outside environment in to the cytoplasm. The second way is what a plant cell use get it's food is by chloroplast ( part of a cell ) which makes food from carbon dioxide, sunlight, and water.
Since the cell is where ALL the chemistry of life goes on, and so produces all of that food you ask about ... I would say that it's predominant. well if u go deep in chemistary of cell there are two main reactions occurs which are knwon as anabolism and catabolism, togheter called metabolism. catabolism is the reaction in which complex food compounds are broken into simpler one which can give energy to cell for its functions like respiration etc. anabolism is the reaction in which simple compounds are fuse or react together to form complex compound which either server as structural compound or as energy reserve so by these two ways a cell form or utilize pre formed food.
Two ways people use energy from the sun today are through the food we eat, and for electric energy. With regard to the food we eat: the sun provides the energy that makes life possible, providing all the plants and animals we eat in the process. While the sun has always provided the energy for our food, it has recently provided electric energy through photovoltaics. This technology takes advantage of energy from the sun and converts it to electricity.

Two stages of a cell are reproductive stage and the growth stage or the energy stage where energy is produced
you can use it to create chemical bonds, make more energy, and transport molecules. that is all i have for now but there are more ways.
