What causes you to be sick?

There are many ways to get a disease. You may have caught a disease from a sick person or someone who has been in contact to a sick person; certain diseases, like measles, tuberculosis, or the flu, are transmitted by viruses and they travel through the air. Other diseases are genetic-- you may have inherited the gene from one of your parents, such as certain kinds of cancer.
