cellular respiration- process that release energy by breaking down glucose and food molecule in the presence of oxygen. this process starts out in the cytoplasm and then moves to the mitochondria later on in the process. :) :)

Cell respiration is oxygen/carbon dioxide exchange that happens in you body's cells. Oxygen circulates all around your body and is diffused (absorbed) into your cells. The mitochondria (mitochondria are in all of your cells, they're what makes energy) then use the oxygen to make energy. The waste product of all this is carbon dioxide, which you then breathe out.
