Small population size

This is definitely wrong. Speciation is caused by two groups or more groups of the same species becoming separated into different environments. There both adapt to their own environment and become slightly different to each other. EG If one group of birds is carried to an island that only has long deep flowers to feed on. They will develop longer and narrower beaks to be able to gather the nectar.

What would most likely increase the rate of speciation in a population?

Factors such as geographic isolation, environmental changes, genetic mutations, and selective pressures can increase the rate of speciation by driving populations to evolve separate traits or behaviors that lead to reproductive isolation.
