Among other things, exocytosis is responsible for releasing enzymes or various other proteins and molecules that instruct cells on how to communicate with each other. If a cell could not perform exocytosis it would be instructed on what it's supposed to do. It couldn't perform its function and the cell would eventually die.
What would happen to a cell if it did a lot of exocytosis, but not very much endocytosis?
?
osmosis
When the content of a vesicle are released by the cell
Exocytosis helps a cell rid itself of waste. Exocytosis is the primary process to maintain homeostasis within the cell thereby allowing the cell to function at peak.
Does exocytosis mean materials enter or exit the cell? Exocytosis means that materials exit the cell. Endocytosis means material enters the cell.
Exocytosis is the process by which the cell directs the contents of secretory vesicles out of the cell membrane. This process occurs through the fusion of the vacuole membrane with the cell membrane.
Yes.
peanut butter ...Thats a nice answer but no. Its exocytosis.

Exocytosis aids the cell in getting rid of wastes and harmful substances.

The process by which a cell expels wastes from a vesicle is exocytosis. Exocytosis is the opposite process of endocytosis since it involves moving items outside to the extracellular space.

A process by which the contents of a cell vacuole are released to the exterior through fusion of the vacuole membrane with the cell membrane.
The process by which the plasma membrane surrounds the substance inside the cell and moves it outside the cell is called EXOCYTOSIS.
