The symbols 5' and 3' (pronounced "five prime" and "three prime") refer to the two ends of a strand of DNA.

The numbers refer to specific carbon atoms on the sugar (deoxyribose) in each nucleotide residue of a strand of DNA. International convention assigns numbers to the atoms of the skeleton of medium-sized to large molecules. The carbon atoms of deoxyribose are numbered 1 to 5, but when combined with a base to form a nucleoside, the numbers 1, 2 and so on are allocated to the base, and the sugar atoms are called 1', 2' etc.

One end of a DNA strand has a phosphate group; this is attached to the 5' carbon of a deoxyribose. This is called the 5' end of the strand, and DNA synthesis always starts from this end.

A new nucleotide is attached by combination of its phosphate to the 3' carbon of the sugar. So the other end of a DNA strand ends with a sugar, and this is called the 3' end of the strand. The two strands of a DNA molecule are antiparallel, so the 5' end of one strand is paired with the 3' end of its complementary strand.

Does the cell theory states that all cells are produce from other cells?

No. The cell theory states that all cells arise from existing cells. This does not mean that all cells necessarily reproduce. However, you may infer that all cells contain DNA and have the ability to reproduce.

The part near the nucleus that helps with reproduction?

The organelle near the nucleus that helps with reproduction is the centriole. Centrioles play a key role in cell division by organizing the mitotic spindle, which is crucial for separating chromosomes during cell division.

What is is called when cells divide?

Mitotic Cell division; a Somatic Cell replicates [duplicates] Itself. Only in the ultra-specialized reproductive organs [male and female] does Mitosis Itself Re-Divide to form four Gametic Cells from one Original Cell - this is known as Meiosis.

What does diploid to diploid mean?

Diploid to diploid refers to a reproductive process where two parents contribute genetic material to produce offspring. In this process, both parents provide a complete set of chromosomes to the offspring, resulting in the offspring being diploid as well. This is the common method of reproduction in sexually reproducing organisms.

For my project i have to extract DNA from an onion and see if the DNA can survive when separated from other cell components how do i know if the DNA survived or not?

I'm not too sure what you mean by survive, as this is a very interesting term you are using to refer to the nature of DNA. DNA by itself cannot survive, per se, as it is not living by itself, it does not reproduce nor intake food nor produce young by itself. However, if you mean see if the DNA has been damaged by the extraction process, there is no easy way to find out completely, but very likely you have damaged it to some extent by removing it. The extent to which you have damaged it will vary, but generally, the darker the cluster, the more intact your sample. You must compare the darkness with the darkness seen in an onion cell going into prophase of cell division as this is the point where DNA is exposed and unravelled.

What moves things through the cell membrane?

If you mean through the cells itself, that would be the endoplasmic reticulum but if you mean substances from the outside of the cell into the cell that is done by protein channels.

Am i forgiven child declamation?

I am not sure whether you mean you were talking TO a child or talking ABOUT a child, but in either case, in and by itself, I don't see why that would be a problem.

Where is the construction?

Assuming you mean "nucleus", the answer will depend on what what nucleus you are talking about (atomic nucleus, the nucleus of a cell, etc.).

How does the cell connect to the body system?

I'm unclear as to what you mean with your question, are we talking about white blood cells? Brain cells? Stem cells? Red blood cells? Most don't really "connect" to the system so much as make up the system itself.

What do you mean by cell refrencing explain?

Assuming you're talking about a computerised spreadsheet... cell referencing - is simply an instruction to the software to get data from another cell - and display it in the current one. In this example... (D4 = C1 + 15%) - the current value of cell C1 is increased by 15% and the result displayed in cell D4.
