I've been to be nosey at a Chinese old style crematorium, there were four wood fueled cremators on the go, all bodies in different states of cremation, from ash and a leg bone to one third missing, all the doors were open, two had extra wood piled onto the torso, the fourth was most interesting as only below the knees were missing, the body had bent in on itself, knees raised a bit, arms upward and head also bent in a little, fully charred and only the outline gave away it was human, the latter three were all spitting fat with whistling noises and basically cremating themselves with their own fuel.
