Those numbers are near sight perscriptions. The lower the number, the more "unfocused" or worse the vision is. If the number is positive, then it is a far sighted perscription, which is used in reading glasses. Hope this answered your question =)

Rods are responsible for night vision and detecting low light levels, while cones are responsible for color vision and high acuity vision. Rods are more sensitive to light than cones but do not perceive color. Cones are concentrated in the central part of the retina, while rods are more abundant in the periphery.
Babies are born with limited visual acuity but can see objects up to about 8-15 inches away. Over time, their vision improves and develops, reaching adult-like vision by the age of 6-8 months. By this age, babies can see objects across a room.
A newborn's vision is initially blurry, but they can see objects or faces up to 8-12 inches away. Over time, their vision gradually improves as their eye muscles strengthen. By about six months, most babies have developed clearer vision and can see objects further away.

7% plus or minus 1%
7 if you mean what is -1 + 8
(-8) x (-7) - 14 = 42
If you do the order of operations it would be 8 - (7/11) = 81/11 or approximately 7.364. Now if you mean 8 minus 7 all over 11 then it would be (8 - 7)/11 = 1/11 or approximately .0909.
If you mean 7/8 minus 1/2 then it is 3/8
-3 - (-8) - (-2) = -3 + 8 +2 = +7
3/4 minus 7/8 is -1/8.
7
-8 - (-7 + 1) = -8 - (-6) = -8 + 6 = -2
-8
10 minus 9/8 is 8 7/8
5/8 minus 8 is -7 3/8
8 - 15 = -7
