That's just a word byte.

It's a shorthand way of describing the effects of the sympathetic autonomic nervous system. That's the half that sets you up for increased physical activity.

Increases heart rate (but decreases cardiac out-put),

reduces blood flow to the gut and kidneys,

increases it to skin,

makes you sweat,

dilates pupils.

Note : all good things IF you immediately become very active (fighting or running away), otherwise not so good.
