These glands are called anterior pituitary gland.
FSH is secreted by anterior pitutory by gonadotropes(the cells that produce it). It stimulates the development of follicles, and aids in spermatogenesis.
The anterior pituitary gland.
Adenohypophysis, or anterior pituitary.
A gland is a group of cells that produces and secretes, or gives off chemicals into the bloodstream where they can be transported to cells in other parts of the body.
Hypothalamus, pituitary gland and the embryo
Endocrine glands secrete their products into the blood whereas the Exocrine glands secrete their products directly into the target organ for example the parotid gland secretes the salyva directly into the mouth without using theblood for transpor.
Another name for the pituitary gland is the hypophysis (it may be called the hypophyseal gland by some). This name comes from the Greek words that mean "grows under" and "to make grow". This name was given because the pituitary gland is located under a very important structure called the hypothalamus, from which it get almost all of its instructions on what hormones to secrete. Further, the hormones that the pituitary secretes are important for skeletal growth, development of other glands and organs, etc. Thus, the description "grows under" and "to make grow" are good descriptions of the location and function of the pituitary.
Because it handles, controlls, and exchanges all chemicals needed for the brain and body. Without it all chemicals would go coo-coo and your body would not function. It is essential for controlling testostirone, estrogen, and progesterone, the chemicals needed for pregnancy and repoduction.
The pituitary gland
The pituitary gland is considered the "master gland", which secretes hormones, which controls the other glands.

Pituitory gland is the master gland situated at the base of brain. It secretes many hormones. So problems with this gland leads to problems in many other body systems.
The main hormone produced here is thyroxine, which controls metabolism in our cells.
The Pituitary gland sends electrical impulses through your body's nervous system that stimutates the production of hormones, specifically growth hormones and reproductive hormones such as estrogen and Testosterone.
There are four: Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) Luteinizing hormone (LH) Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) They are in the Anterior Pituitary
The pituitary gland is considered the master gland and secretes hormones that control other glands.
The thyroid is a butterfly shaped gland in the front of your neck. The thyroid gland secretes hormones the body needs to function. Thyroid disorders are not contagious diseases. Hypothyroidism means not enough of the hormones are made and released. Hyperthyroidism means the gland secretes too much of the hormones. Thyroid problems are not something you "catch" from someone else.
The Anterior pituitary gland secretes the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) this targets the thyroid gland, stimulating the release of thyroid hormones. Thyroid-stimulating horomone(TSH) is secreted by the Pitutary gland( Specifically thyrotrope cells of Anterior pitutary gland). TSH regulates thyroid gland.
