What solution causes a cell to swell?

Any solution with more H2O than inside the cell will cause the cell to swell. Animal cells will burst under a lot of pressure, but plant cells will not, due to the presence of a cell well surrounding the cell. In other words, a hypotonic solution will cause a cell to swell, and a hypertonic solution will cause a cell to shrink. Hypo -> hyper

What happens to your cells when you have to much water?

It will cause sodium levels to be insufficient in in the blood (because it dilutes it) As well as Magnesium (thats levels are also maintained by urinating). Your cells will shift as a result of an unbalance of electrolytes. As they begin to swell, some will rupture or cease to function due to the osmotic pressure.

What helps a plant cell maintain turgor pressure?

That would be the large central vacuole. In plant, not only does it contain water, it also controls turgor for when the plant receives a lot of water instead of simply lysing like in animal cells.

What detoxifies the cell?

The cell utilizes various organelles, such as lysosomes and peroxisomes, to detoxify harmful substances by breaking them down and neutralizing them. Additionally, enzymes within the cell are involved in detoxification processes, such as cytochrome P450 enzymes in the endoplasmic reticulum.
