inguinal hernia
"hiatal hernia" and "hiatus hernia"
Cystocele is herniation of the bladder.
The different kinds of hernia are listed below: * Congenital hernia: occur in babies, present from birth. * Inguinal hernia: common in sportsmen, involves part of the bowel protrudibng into the groin * Hiatus hernia: involves the stomach, where it enters the chest cavity via the hiatus. * Incarcerated hernia: where the hernia has swollen up. * Reducible hernia: one that can be manipulated back into place easily, much like a dislocated joint can be repositioned with relative ease. * Irreducible hernia: can't be returned to its original position without surgical intervention. * Strangulated hernia: potentially fatal, as it means the bood supply has been cut off by the hernia. There are even more types, each with their own subtle variations. These can be viewed from the link. [source: adapted from First Aid, by Geddes and Grosset]
Yes, it is okay to drink in moderation when you have a hernia. If the hernia is hiatal, then acid drinks are not good to drink all the time.
Reducible The hernia is said to be 'reducible' if it can be returned to the abdominal cavity and 'incarcerated' when it cannot be returned to the abdominal cavity.
hiatal hernia
Cyst means bladder or sac, rect means rectum, and cele means hernia or protrusion. A cystocele is herniation of the bladder, and rectocele is herniation of the rectum. Put together, cystorectocele is herniation of the urinary bladder and rectum (usually referring to herniation into the vagina.)

Herniation. A inguinal hernia is a protrusion of any bowel content (including omental fat) through the lower abdominal musculature.inguinal hernia
A hiatal hernia is when abdominal contents, like the intestines, protrude through a small hole that is designed for the esophagus to pass through the diaphragm. The herniation referrs to the strangling of the intestines and the hiatus is the name of the opening,
it is a condition of the spine, in brief; it is the herniation (bulging prior to rupturing) of the spinal disks, CAUSED by bony growths on the bottom of your vertebrae.
Meningocele is the medical term for a hernia of the covering of the brain and spinal cord. The suffix for hernia is -cele. Meningomyelocele is protrusion of the spinal cord and meninges.meningocele
That is the medical term: lung herniation. It can occur intercostal (between the ribs), sternal (through an opening in the sternum) or diagram (into the abdominal cavity). The first and third are often due to chest injuries and the second happens during fetal development.
Cystocele is the term meaning hernia of the bladder.Hernia of urinary bladder is known as sliding hernia. This hernia occurs when an organ drags along part of peritoneum,or ,in other words, the organ is a part of the hernia sac.The colon and urinary bladder are often involved. the term also frequently refers to sliding hernia of the stomach.
Congenital omphalocele is a persistence of the herniation of the abdominal contents into the proximal part of the umbilical cord. Whereas, the umbilical hernia occurs when intestines herniate through the imperfectly closed umbilicus. SIMILARITY: Both herniation occurs thru the umbilicus. DIFFERENCE: In the umbilical hernias, the protruding mass is covered by subcutaneous tissue and skins, whereas in congenital omphalocele it's not.
Hernia splenica lumbalisHernias of the lumbar region are rare but have been reported to occur after trauma, flank surgery, iliac bone grafting, spontaneously, or as a result of congenital abnormality of musculoskeletal development. The acquired type is more common than the congenital type. The contents of the hernia most commonly are retroperitoneal fat, kidney, and bowel. We report a case of an asymptomatic postincisional lumbar herniation of a spleen that was diagnosed by computed tomography.splenocele
The increase in bowel sounds is because the normal pathway of the intestinal tract has been altered due to the hernia. Not only does the herniation cause increased bowel sounds but also pain associated with the movement of intestinal contents. If it is painful you should get medical attention.
