If you have no symptoms it's just a slightly squashed intervertebral disk, if you do have symptoms it's were they're going to cut. (C5-C6 is low on your neck)
vertebraes
There are 5 cervical vertebrae (neck bones) and 12 thoracic vertebrae (in the rib cage area) and 5 lumbar vertebrae (in the small of the back) and 6 sacral vertebrae ( the back of your hips, and in adults are normally fused into 1 bony structure) and 3 to 5 coccyx bones (tail bones) Say, between 31 and 33 vertebrae, total.
A vertebrae are bones in the spinal column (also called spine or backbone)The function of the spinal column is to protect the soft spinal cord and to support the body and hold the head upright.Plural for vertebra. A vertabrae is an animal with a back bone. There are five classes of vertabrae: amphibeans, birds, fish, mamals, and reptiles.
The spinal column consists of 33 irregular bones called vertebrae. Starting from the neck, there are seven cervical vertebrae. The first two vertebrae have specific names and are called the atlas and axis respectively. The next 12 vertebrae are called thoracic vertebrae, followed by five lumbar vertebrae, which are the largest of the spinal bones. Next, there are approximately five sacral vertebrae that are separate from each other as a young child, but fuse together as one bone called the sacrum in adults. Finally, the coccyx, more commonly called the tailbone, consists of 3-5 small bones that fuse together in adults.
In the cervical and thoracic area of your spine. The cervical vertebrae starts right under your skull (following what's called the occipital foramen/foramen magnum). There are 7 cervical verterbrae and they end aproximatively under your neck (in the place where you feel a small circular prominence). Right under there are the thoracic vertebrae, in the number of 12. They end, let's say, at the upper part of your lower back.

Between each and every one of your vertebrae, there is a cartilage disc that seperates the vertebrae from each other. Basically, at L5 and S1 (lower back, the disc that is between Lumbar vertebrae number 5 and the first sacral vertebrae) there is a diffuse (spread out) bulge. On top of that, there is also some protrusion of the central part of the disc.

You mean the cervical vertebrae. ( C and v are close enough on the key board!) You have the 7 cervical vertebrae in the neck region. They are small in size. They all have foramen transversarium in them. They do not have the markings of the ribs on the body, like the thoracic vertebrae.
If you can see a swollen vertebrae in the small of your back through your skin then you probably have 1 of 2 conditions. You either have a herniated disk or a curved spine.
Herniation. A inguinal hernia is a protrusion of any bowel content (including omental fat) through the lower abdominal musculature.inguinal hernia
