A hagstone is a stone with a natural occurring hole through it. Since this is a rare phenomena it is thought, by a variety of supersticous sects, to be holy and to hold magical powers. Of course the rarer and more precious, or beautiful type of stone, the more powerful and valuable it is thought to be. Imagine if you were to find a fat diamond with a hole going through the middle of it. You could probably control the universe or summon Gabriel with it.....HaHa!
