Cystitis is an infection in your bladder. anyone can get it. you know you have Cystitis when your bladder hurts and it burns when you urinate. you can get medicine at the chemist. being warm, drinking water and going to the toilet constantly will help

It's spelled cystitis, or better known as a bladder infection. It's relatively common in females, less common in males. In females, it's usually caused by taking too may baths. The bacteria from the rectal area infect the urethra, which is short in females. Not really unusual in females. Also, a lot of sex in a short period of time can cause a bladder infection from the local trauma- also known as "honeymoon cystitis." So if you are a female, it's not uncommon, just 3 days of antibiotics usually takes care of it. Dave MD

The signs of cystitis are as follows :

(1) a sharp burning, stinging sensation when you pass water

(2)an urge to pass water more frequently even though there may be very little to pass
